The College’s Information Day was held on November 19th, 2016. In the large self-study area next to Café Aspretto, teachers and students from the English Department provided both potential students and their parents with information in the areas of course content, facilities, lecturing staff, opinions of current students, on-campus accommodation, study abroad opportunities, and much more.
In addition to chatting with tutors and finding out what courses are available, visitors could see a small exhibition of student projects and an overview of career prospects (based on a survey among graduates of the Department). Prior to the information day, a number of our current students shared their thoughts and insights on our program as part of video-selfies that we presented to visitors of the Information Day. We also designed a couple of posters, particularly for that day, as well as leaflets with further information and contact details. Moreover, Ms. Cecilia Li, Senior Lecturer at the Department of English, gave a talk on “How to prepare for the DSE English Language Exam.” The talk was well received by parents and students.
